Leave a group

Leave a group that the current user has joined.

Members and administrators can leave a group through quitGroup():

await openimsdk.quitGroup(groupID);

groupID is the target group to leave. The group owner cannot leave directly and must first Transfer group ownership or Dismiss a group.

A successful Promise means that the current account has left the group. SdkEvent.OnJoinedGroupDeleted subsequently notifies the client to remove the joined-group record by groupID; see Group overview for the complete listener.

A historical conversation can remain after leaving. Do not infer current membership merely because the conversation still exists.
