Hide a conversation

Hide an entry from the current account’s conversation list without deleting a relationship or group.

hideConversation() hides the conversation entry only for the current logged-in user. It does not delete a one-to-one relationship, leave a group, or affect another user.

Use this method to remove a conversation entry from the chat list temporarily. The hidden conversation may reappear after a new message arrives or synchronization completes.

State after the call

A successful Future means that the hide request completed, so the caller can immediately remove the matching conversationID from its current list. Relevant clients may subsequently receive onConversationChanged; merge it idempotently by conversationID. Query again when the UI needs a current list snapshot.
